Desktop Monitor/Laptop Desks SMARTdesks™ DT Series workstations with basic top surfaces each provide specialized features to accommodate equipment and cabling and maximize worksurface area for all common types of computers. They are available in a variety of standard widths and in single, double and triple station configurations. DT Series desks, available 26", 30" and 36" deep, hold the largest CRT monitors as well as flat panel LCD displays on their stands. Worksurfaces are fitted with a wire access grommet positioned to minimize cable clutter and protect wires and connections from accidental damage. Grommet-mounted LCD arms designed to support any display meeting VESA mounting standards are available. An 8-position ratcheted arm is standard and pneumatic cylinder models are available to accommodate all size monitors and multiple displays. |

DT Series desks can be configured for laptops to include Power/Data Ports with duplex outlets, Cat 5 data ports and a USB hub. These stations are 26" deep and may be specified with or without storage bays. |

Sometimes the best solution is the simplest. If line-of-sight is not an issue and the monitor is the only computer component on the desktop you can reduce the clutter of cables and equipment and leave space for taking notes and reading printed materials. In the computer lab with shared terminals or for individual tutoring, the DT configuration provides the best visibility for multiple users and in the Internet lab where you want to monitor student computer activity closely, and, with the right furniture arrangement, the DT series enables you to see every screen at once. SMARTdesks™ workstations conceal and protect cables from monitor to CPU and from desk to desk to wall or floor with a full-height modesty panel (vented at top and bottom) supporting a wiring channel and optional power strip, and full-depth side panels with access grommets. |

Angle connectors and extended top sizes are available to allow a variety of connected configurations. Use our Classroom Design Questionnaire for room layouts and pricing. Several models for younger students may be specified with keyboards and mice on the desktop (without pullout platforms) to reduce floor space requirements and mechanical components; offering even greater economy and durability. For increased leg-room and/or reduced station width, narrower CPU bays may be requested for "thin client" and "small-form" cases or the CPU/storage bays may be eliminated if you are using "all-in-one" computers like Apple's eMAC®. SMARTdesks™ exclusive Convertible CPU Bays accommodate tower or desktop cases optimizing room on the desktop for books and paperwork. Standard tower and convertible bays may be specified with optional rear access panels or locking hinged doors to facilitate access to rear of CPU cases. Additional CPU bay options including adjustable storage shelves and pull-out shelves, utility drawers, writing tablet surfaces and more.
